Ahh MY bed

My bed is not, repeat not, as comfortable as I would like it to be but there is something that makes you look forward to it so much after being gone. I made it home with a little pink on my cheeks and aches in my calf's from walking in flip flops. Am I complaining? Oh no!
The Dental Conference was informational, busy and huge. There was also a girls dance competition going on at the same time and I felt like I was on that tv show "Dance Moms" but this time all the moms were lets say more healthy... :)
I heard that Spring Training was just finishing up at the same time so Phoenix was a busy place. I went to Starbucks Saturday morning before my class and the line was so long it had no were else to bend. I felt like we all should have rolled up are sleeves and had someone put in a drip line so we could get our fix. At that moment I walked out and decided I could live without Starbucks....for a few days.  Lots of excitement for me on this trip and much needed de-stressing.

A glimps of summer

37* to 55* is a nice teaser in the weather and I even had to take my coat off. Imagine that! When looking at my phone weather app for Phoenix it's going to be in the high 80's to 90's needless to say I went and bought some tank tops. I cant wait for summer! I can feel it, its so close. I never truly realize how emotionally sad I get with the darkness until its gone and I am full of energy and happiness.
Spending time with my friend Jenn and catching up with my parents is much needed and brings a smile to my heart. With no plans and lots of time on our hands Jenn and I slept in, went to the gym and had a great day trying on clothes that are a few sizes smaller then normal. That's always something to be happy about. I walk away from this day with a friend I can always count on, parents that are full of life and my new shoes... :)

FYI: I am in love with these new shoe, and Jenn!    ;)

"Leaving on a jet plane"

Growing up on an island miles away from "America" or should I say shopping malls, I realize the things that can be taken for granted when you live in a larger town were you are within driving range of stuff you need.  Like a new pair of jeans... You go to the store, try them on, fork out some money and you have yourself a new pair of jeans. Here, You search websites, check out their size chart, order and then pay a HUGE amount of shipping on top of your purchase. Then once you get your order they usually don't fit and you pay to send them back... Did I mention I want to move? :)
My friend and I are headed to a Dental convention in Phoenix. We want to stick to our "eating healthy" plan, so I found a grocery store in Phoenix that will deliver our food right to our hotel! Can I just say its the little things in life that make my day!! We are also going to see Mirror Mirror opening night. I love getting out of town. Oh and I will be going to that mall and trying on jeans while I'm there.
B is already letting me know his plans of doing nothing while I'm gone! I swear that man can sit on a couch for the rest of his life and be happy. Note to self, always have a comfy couch. ;)

Laughter (food for the soul)

My weekend was so busy and I loved every minute of it! A friend of mine is getting married in six months and I offered her my help. Little did she know what she was getting into when she wrote me on Facebook to see if I was still interested. I am a women that gets things done. Picture someone on a caffeine rush, has a sugar high and downed five Rockstars. Guilty! That's how I feel when I am on a mission to get things done. I try to look graceful doing it (usually I'm way off!). Starting with the basics: budget, guest count, food and lots and lots of ideas. We drank our vanilla lattes in a quiet coffee shop with the laptop out and pens writing down her ideas to create a wedding dream come alive. Fallowing up the day with phone calls to venues and laughter that was much needed. The next day we meet at a venue that was perfect for the rustic wedding theme. One more thing to check off the list. The evening was fallowed by engagement pictures, editing and ordering the Save The Date magnets. And vroom just like that we are on a roll to a wedding in six months.
