A glimps of summer

37* to 55* is a nice teaser in the weather and I even had to take my coat off. Imagine that! When looking at my phone weather app for Phoenix it's going to be in the high 80's to 90's needless to say I went and bought some tank tops. I cant wait for summer! I can feel it, its so close. I never truly realize how emotionally sad I get with the darkness until its gone and I am full of energy and happiness.
Spending time with my friend Jenn and catching up with my parents is much needed and brings a smile to my heart. With no plans and lots of time on our hands Jenn and I slept in, went to the gym and had a great day trying on clothes that are a few sizes smaller then normal. That's always something to be happy about. I walk away from this day with a friend I can always count on, parents that are full of life and my new shoes... :)

FYI: I am in love with these new shoe, and Jenn!    ;)

"Leaving on a jet plane"

Growing up on an island miles away from "America" or should I say shopping malls, I realize the things that can be taken for granted when you live in a larger town were you are within driving range of stuff you need.  Like a new pair of jeans... You go to the store, try them on, fork out some money and you have yourself a new pair of jeans. Here, You search websites, check out their size chart, order and then pay a HUGE amount of shipping on top of your purchase. Then once you get your order they usually don't fit and you pay to send them back... Did I mention I want to move? :)
My friend and I are headed to a Dental convention in Phoenix. We want to stick to our "eating healthy" plan, so I found a grocery store in Phoenix that will deliver our food right to our hotel! Can I just say its the little things in life that make my day!! We are also going to see Mirror Mirror opening night. I love getting out of town. Oh and I will be going to that mall and trying on jeans while I'm there.
B is already letting me know his plans of doing nothing while I'm gone! I swear that man can sit on a couch for the rest of his life and be happy. Note to self, always have a comfy couch. ;)

11 Random Things

Being new at blogging I have discovered a whole new world that is so personal, fun and addicting :)

I have been "tagged" by Tory @ Life as we know it to write 11 Random things about me and to answer some questions.

  2. You must post 11 random things about yourself

  4. Create 11 new questions for your tagees to answer
  5. Tag them on Twitter, Facebook or your blog

3. My dream job would be to fly helicopters. Ahh freedom.

4. Pop is not in my diet only because I am not a fan of carbonated drinks. I also am not a gum chewer.
5. I am a planner, I have a calendar in my bag at all times and am probably 25% OCD when it comes to being organized and yes I get annoyed with myself about it. :)

6. Spiders are dead to me... Well, after I see one. NOT A FAN!!

7. I think I have an addiction to Starbucks. I know its bad when I have to dig change out from the car. haha

3. What inspires you? Truth
4. If you could have one day for just YOU what would you do, where would you go, and what would you eat? I would get in a helicopter and fly, forever. Find a place with a home cooked meal and people to laugh with and hopefully have live music. :)

Laughter (food for the soul)

My weekend was so busy and I loved every minute of it! A friend of mine is getting married in six months and I offered her my help. Little did she know what she was getting into when she wrote me on Facebook to see if I was still interested. I am a women that gets things done. Picture someone on a caffeine rush, has a sugar high and downed five Rockstars. Guilty! That's how I feel when I am on a mission to get things done. I try to look graceful doing it (usually I'm way off!). Starting with the basics: budget, guest count, food and lots and lots of ideas. We drank our vanilla lattes in a quiet coffee shop with the laptop out and pens writing down her ideas to create a wedding dream come alive. Fallowing up the day with phone calls to venues and laughter that was much needed. The next day we meet at a venue that was perfect for the rustic wedding theme. One more thing to check off the list. The evening was fallowed by engagement pictures, editing and ordering the Save The Date magnets. And vroom just like that we are on a roll to a wedding in six months.

Back when

Last February I visited my friend in Seattle. We played tourist in downtown Seattle and spent most of our time at Pike's Place Market. I have been there several times before but this was my first time going into the original Starbucks. I was so excited and pleased that the theme had not changed and the atmosphere was unique. The line was long but the wait was worth the experience.

First opened on March 30, 1971 the name Starbucks is taken from Moby Dick after Pequod was rejected by one of the co-founders, the company was named after the chief-mate on the Pequod, Starbuck.

Ms. Vada

I got into photography a few years ago and love it. I have a LOT to learn but love the journey. I took an interest in photography so that one day when I have little feet of my own running around I will have the equipment to capture every memory. In my spare time I love capturing other families memories. This last weekend I got to capture this little beauty Vada. Only two and a half weeks old she is already a doll and her parents are going to have trouble on there hands as she grows up. Here is a few pictures from our time together.

Walking Paw's

The sun came out between the snow with just enough time for Zoe and I to take a walk. Multiple doggie "messages" left along the way, snow along the sides of the road and fellow dogs barking as we enjoyed our outing.
Daylight savings time is an adjustment. I love the day light in the afternoon but its 5:30pm already?!?!  I feel like I just got out of bed!

As soon as we were at the end the snow began to fall and I knew our walk was a gift.
                               Zoe's walk ended with a bath :)
